The King’s School was founded in 1831 and is a Christian community that seeks to make an outstanding impact for the good of society through its students, and by the quality of its teaching and leadership in education.
The School is seeking to appoint a School Chaplain who is able to contribute significantly as a member of the School Executive towards realising this mission.
The School Chaplain is responsible for ensuring that the Christian ministry of the School is God honouring, Christ centred, biblically faithful, communally vibrant and personally relevant, for all members of The King’s School community – including our students, our Old Boys, our staff, and all our families.
It is our Christian community of almost 200 hundred years that provides the foundation for our care of one another and for the unique character development of each and every Kingsman.
The School Chaplain will lead, equip and enthuse a creative and inspirational ministry team who champions the School’s mission through the pastoral nurturing, spiritual development and effective ministry of staff, students, Old Boys and their families.
The School Chaplain is required to be an ordained Minister of the Anglican Church, and will have experience in large, complex communities/organisations, including Parish and/or school ministries.
As an inspiring and personable communicator, the successful applicant will be an educational and spiritual mentor who lives the Christian life with integrity, humility and passion.
