West Sydney Chinese Christian Church (WSCCC) is an evangelical church located in Sydney's inner west suburbs of Strathfield and Croydon Park.
It has a strong and rich history of ministering to people and sending people into ministry.
The church averages about 800 people, including adults, youth and children across 6 congregations, with a Youth Ministry of about 80 youth across two youth groups with strong youth leader teams.
The church is seeking to employ a Youth Pastor to look after the Youth Ministries. The job description is as follows:
Overall Aim: To be responsible for the development, oversight, and coordination of the Youth Ministries.
Supervision: Responsible to Strathfield English Ministry and Diaconate and also working along-side the other ministers.
Qualifications: Should be passionate about gospel ministry to youth. A degree from a recognised Bible or Theological college is required. Experience in Youth Ministry is desireable, but not required. The person should be respectful of Chinese culture, but need not be of Chinese background.
- To lead and work alongside the youth coordinators and teams of youth leaders for our two youth groups to co-ordinate, maintain, and develop the Youth Ministries.
- To recruit, select, encourage and care for youth leaders. This involves training and resourcing them as needed.
- The hours can be arranged to suit the right candidate. There is scope for a position from part time to full time (2.5 to 5 days per week). The hours would include Friday evenings and Sunday mornings.
