Masterchef craze hits churches?

The editorial staff at Anglican Media are preparing a feature for Southern Cross on the widespread foodie craze inspired by Masterchef. And we want to hear from you.

There are early indications that churches are tapping into the craze at least for evangelistic youth events. A source at St Paul’s Menai told me this week that they recently ran a Masterchef night. While a quick google search found this youth event at St Matthew’s, Manly.

So we love you to tell us:

1. Has your church though about running Masterchef-inspired activity?

2. Can you send us pictures from a Masterchef-inspired church activity?

But we also want to know how the wider foodie phenomena is impacting churches. Is it encouraging Christians to re-examine our theology of hospitality? If so, how?

It would be great if Manly or Menai can tell us more about their events noted above.
