Youthworks, the youth ministry arm of the Diocese of Sydney, has announced a new Chief Executive Officer.

The Rev Craig Roberts, who has been the Senior Minister at Neutral Bay Anglican Church for the past 14 years, will join the organisation from next January, taking over from interim CEO Dr Laurie Scandrett.

"We are excited by his vision to see every generation teaching and encouraging every other generation, so that under God, churches flourish and the next generation are established to trust, love and follow the Lord Jesus until he returns." said the Chair of Youthworks, the Rev Chris Braga, in announcing the appointment.

Mr Roberts is a member of the Sydney Diocese’s Standing Committee and led the Neutral Bay church through significant transformation and a major redevelopment of the parish campus.

Prior to entering full-time ministry, Mr Roberts worked for twelve years at PricewaterhouseCoopers in the areas of financial analysis and HR management.

Trained at Moore Theological College, he is married to Libby and has three children.

“Having become a Christian myself as a teenager, and seen the impact of quality youth and children's ministry on my own children, I relish the opportunity to lead the ministry of Youthworks forward,” Mr Roberts said.  “I pray that God might enable us as an organisation to have a similar impact for Christ, not only among children and youth but across all generations of our Diocese for years to come.”
