Dr Karin Sowada has been appointed chief executive officer of the Anglican Deaconess Institution Sydney Limited (ADISL).

Dr Sowada, whose career has spanned politics, business, archaeology and voluntary community work, will be addressing ministry challenges posed by the busy and complex lives of modern women. Inspired by GAFCON, Dr Sowada also plans for ADISL to support women overseas.

"This is an exciting time of opportunities, new directions and debate for Christian women in Sydney and beyond," she said.
