Roseville East Anglican Church

Date advertised: 10th November 2017

Closing Date: 12 December 2017

Our Church

We are a church of 130 adults across 4 congregations, including an international congregation to reach the diverse area of Roseville/Chatswood.

The church is going through exciting changes for 2018, with a church plant joining together and creating new opportunities to grow.

We want to see lives transformed by Jesus Christ as people hear the gospel and joyfully submit  to him as Lord and Saviour.

The Role

We are looking for someone to help us grow the children and youth in our church and reach new families around us.

The main responsibilities of the Children and Youth Worker include:

  • overseeing the Sunday Kids Church
  • building our small but growing youth group (year 5 to 12)
  • teaching SRE at the local public school
  • seeing how we can reach families through children’s and youth ministry
  • encouraging the church to have a heart to see children and youth won for Christ

The role will be supported by the ministry staff and a team of faithful lay leaders.  For 2018, we currently have 3 ministers (2 full-time and 1 part-time) and a Year 13 gap student.

The Candidate

We are looking for someone who is passionate for Jesus and passionate for children and youth.

Years of experience is less important than a heart to serve and a willingness to learn.

The Children and Youth Worker is an essential member of the team, as we preach Christ and seek to build his church.
