Vision and Mission
Kurrajong and North Richmond Anglican Church seeks to see lives West of the Hawkesbury River transformed through Jesus to his glory by making and growing disciples through Adoring God, Maturing in the Word, Sharing Life in Jesus, Serving Together and Connecting with our Local Area.
This extends to children and youth and we would like to grow our intergenerational ministry to them. We are looking for a Part Time Kids + Youth Minister (or a Ministry Trainee who will undertake education and training to work towards becoming a Kids + Youth Minister) at this church to start in Term 3 2025. We have a weekly attendance of about 150 people and about 25 of them are Kids + Youth. This position is with a view to becoming Full Time in the future.
Role and Responsibilities
A Kids + Youth Minister will oversee Kids + Youth Ministry. This will ideally involve overseeing the vision, teaching, pastoral care, recruitment, training and support of kids and youth ministry within the church and the local community including coordinating youth groups during 10am Church, on Sunday afternoon and on Friday evening and teaching Primary SRE.
Requirements
We are seeking someone who:
- Has a personal commitment to following Jesus.
- Is theologically trained or studying towards.
- Has experience working with kids + youth.
- Has the ability to teach the Bible with enthusiasm.
- Has the ability to develop engaging and interactive kids and youth programs.
- Has the ability to connect with and relate to kids, youth and their parents.
- Has strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Works well in teams and can motivate volunteers.
