Ordained Anglican Minister
Location: Rockingham, WA
Date advertised: 16th June 2020
Job Type: Full time
Closing Date: 16th August 2020
St. Nicholas Church, Rockingham, is searching for an ordained Anglican Minister; one who loves God, His word and His people; a leader who has great confidence in the power of the preached Gospel ; one who will set a vision for our Church; one who sees the value in equipping and supporting members who will promote the Gospel as lay ministers. We are in need of a Godly leader, one who knows where to go, plans accordingly and desires to take others on that same journey.
We, the appointed Parish nominators, know that this is a big ask. But be assured, there are many in the Church here, who, under the modelling of a wise and caring shepherd, will rise to the occasion and be only too ready to assist and participate in good ways.
Until his retirement four years ago, the Church here was led by Rev. Bishop Peter Brain, and since then, Peter's assistant has stood in as our Locum.
Here are just some details taken from our prepared Parish Profile. " Rockingham is a well serviced costal town located 49km South of Perth CBD, a 55 minute drive on the freeway and 34 mins. via an excellent and frequent train service. .......Our congregation is composed of many retirees with a growing handful of younger families.
Prior to Covid, we have been conducting two services each Sunday morning. At 8am there has been a more traditional Anglican service of 35 to 40 people present, and the 10am, a more informal Anglical style of 45 to 50 people. In addition, we have a "Church at 5", an informal time of prayer and Bible teaching (10 to 20 present)
