  • Casual position, working in various locations
  • Ad hoc hours (typically around 2-3 training events per year)
  • We are particularly seeking someone based in the Western region of the Sydney Diocese

About us

Here at the Sydney Anglican Offices, we are committed to supporting the building of God’s Kingdom through the provision of a range of valued services to organisations and churches in the Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney.

This position is part of the Office of the Director of Safe Ministry team, which plays a key role in preventing and responding to abuse. A core aspect of this work involves developing, maintaining, and updating Safe Ministry training courses for ministers and those seeking to work with children and other vulnerable people.

About the role
In this role, you will deliver face-to-face presentations for participants completing the Essentials and Refresher Safe Ministry Training courses.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Presenting Safe Ministry Training and managing varying groups of participants
  • Effectively liaising with host church venues
  • Referring any unresolved participant queries to the Safe Ministry Training Consultant

All training and presentation materials will be provided.

About You

We’re looking for someone who’s keen to be part of a team that support our diocese in keeping our churches safe and who feels confident presenting to groups. This includes:

  • Clear and effective communicator
  • Familiarity with Safe Ministry
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • A collaborative team player who values and seeks input from others
  • Comfortable with using technology at event locations

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
