Our client is a highly respected and established organisation recognised for delivering annual Christian conventions to a diverse, evangelical Christian community.
Currently, with 6 annual conferences, over 2,000 are challenged and transformed by the powerful teaching of God’s Word at any one Convention.
The role of Events Coordinator is key to the success of every Convention. It is the pivotal liaison between convention venue centres, external providers and the volunteer committees responsible for the content of each convention.
Reporting to the Events Manager, it ensures the end-to-end planning, execution and logistical organisation of these events. The commitment to being an integral part of a small dedicated team and the ability to effectively communicate with a varied stakeholding, including volunteers and committees, is vital.
We anticipate no less than 5 years’ experience in the organisation and execution of large scale events, an eye for detail and a good understanding of what it takes for a successful event.
Qualifications in Event Management and some exposure in the Not-For-Profit sector will be helpful. The peak of any event is at its opening so that attendance at some of these events, on the designated weekends, form part of this role.
