Our vision is to see lives transformed through Jesus Christ to the glory of God in the multicultural west of Sydney and Rooty Hill in particular.

We have a specialized ministry model with staff serving across congregations and across campuses. We are an Evangelical Reformed Anglican Church with over 1000 adults and children from over 70 different cultures.  We meet each Sunday across 3 campuses. 

Who we are looking for:

We are searching for an Executive Director to work 3 days per week.  For a suitable applicant there is possibility of extending this to a full-time position.

Role Description:

The role of the Executive Director is to assist the Lead Pastor in overseeing the life and direction of the church, with a particular focus on administrative functions. This will require a firm grasp of the beliefs, values, vision and strategy of MBM and the ability to align staff and key leadership teams with its mission. The Executive Director will ensure that the systems, practices, and policies of the church responsibly, effectively and efficiently support its ministry activities.

The Executive Director will be responsible for the following:

Strategic Planning and Leadership:

Along with the Lead Pastor, the Executive Director is responsible for the strategic planning of MBM.  This includes defining strategic goals and action plans and coordinating the staff in the execution of these plans.

Staff Supervision and Development:

Provides leadership to the staff team and serves as personnel director for pastors and paid staff.


Oversee and execute the administration of the church through appropriate staff, ministry leadership teams, and consultants (as needed). Ensure the completion of business, facility, and logistical support functions through staff and volunteers.

  • personal godliness (incl. faithfulness, trustworthiness and self-control) is a high priority
  • a leader who can think strategically, cast vision, shift culture, who is a self-starter, a strong communicator, a team player and able to influence people
  • skilled in implementing and using systems and processes, but able to see them as a support to ministry not an end in themselves
  • theological convictions in line with our Reformed, Evangelical and Complementarian position
  • demonstrated ability to raise and equip teams of volunteers for ministry and equip others to do the same
  • has a lot of fun!

It Would Also Be Helpful If You:

  • have experience of fruitful ministry in these areas in a church setting and/or in the business world
  • are familiar with a Purpose-Driven Church model
  • have some level of theological training
