Anglicare have an opportunity for a Bequest Manager to join our Fundraising team. This role will support the organisation through acquiring new and developing existing relationships with our Bequest Donors.
You will be joining a Christian non-profit organisation with a history of service spanning over 160 years. Anglicare exists to serve people in need in our community, enrich lives, and share the love of Jesus.
Our Bequest Donors enable us to provide a range of services and serve more people in need including those fleeing domestic violence, refugees, those experiencing poverty and mental health issues, vulnerable groups in the community, families and youth and people in correctional facilities as well as support Clinical research into the prevention of dementia and raising the quality of life experience for elder Australians and more.
We provide a range of services that promote dignity, safety, participation and wellbeing for people in their relationships, homes and communities.
By 2028, Anglicare intends to significantly increase our presence in areas of greatest need. We aim to be known for our care, compassion and excellence, recognised as a leading provider of services.
About the role:
Reporting into the Head of Anglicare Foundation and working as part of the wider Customer Experience team, you will have a strong background in relationship management to enable you to nurture, develop and lead our Bequest program, creating a mutually beneficial and high-value relationship with our Donors. This will be achieved though visiting our Donors in their homes, hosting small events and phone based contact.
We are looking for someone that is driven by making genuine connections with our Donors, understanding their needs and how we can support them to make a difference.
You will also be someone that is able to recognise opportunities to re-engage, grow and uplift our Donor portfolio through utilising the database to identify groups that are most suited to becoming a Bequest Donor.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Be aligned to Anglicare’s Christian values, vision and mission to ensure you are able to enhance relationships and build connections within our Anglican communities
- Have exceptional relationship management experience with the ability to relate to and understand our Bequest Donors needs
- Be confident and empathetic when discussing sensitive and potentially pastoral matters with people who may be vulnerable.
- Have demonstrated experience identifying and growing portfolios
- Have a Drivers licence and ability to travel within NSW
