About us
Dural Anglican is located in Sydney’s northwest. We’re surrounded by some of the most idyllic geography Sydney has to offer, along with several high-quality schools, café’s and more... all within 15 minutes of the Sydney Metro train line.
Our church has grown significantly, especially our 10am and 6pm congregations. Sustained growth means we need to further expand our team by adding another assistant minister. To make this possible, the saints at Dural have fully funded this new position.
Our ministry team is ‘hands-on’ and high energy as well as family friendly and flexible.

Depending on the skills and experience of the right applicant, the Assistant Minister role would encompass:
- Regular preaching and service leading
- Leading a mid-week growth group
- Training and equipping a growing number of lay leaders
- Contributing to and/or taking a lead role in our youth ministry
- Scripture teaching – primary and/or high school
- Pastoral care
- Contributing to outreach initiatives
Remuneration will be consistent with Sydney Anglican guidelines, including housing (and we’re currently building a new ministry house).
About the person
- Demonstrated Christian character, committed to Reformed Evangelical Christian values
- A love for Jesus and his people, with a desire to see lives transformed
- Teachable, able to work both alongside and under the leadership of the Senior Minister
- Takes gospel ministry seriously... but has a sense of humour
- A degree in theology (or working towards one), ideally with previous parish experience
- Ordination is not essential but would be helpful
Skills and Capabilities
- Proven ability to teach the Bible: faithfully, clearly, and practically
- Able and willing to care for people
- Able to lead, train, encourage and organise lay leaders
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Organised, diligent and energetic
- Willing to learn and to adjust as the job may require
