Location: Dubbo, NSW
Date advertised: 23rd August 2024
Job Type: Full time, Part time
Closing Date: ASAP
We require a suitably equipped Assistant Minister to join our mid-sized parish in the growing, busy city of Dubbo NSW.
Primarily, the incumbent will be responsible for coordinating and assisting with all youth and children’s ministry programs.
There is also the requirement to assist with service leading and preaching, as well as supporting community-related pastoral ministry including funerals and visitation.
Applicants will demonstrate an active, committed personal relationship with the risen Lord Jesus and a passion for spreading the Gospel to see the lost saved.
Suitably trained via completion of (or significant completion towards) a B.Th or equivalent from a suitable Bible College, the incumbent will ideally be an ordained deacon or priest, or someone on a trajectory towards ordination. Also happy to speak with a suitably experienced layperson.
Applicants must also align with a “classical Anglican” expression of the Christian faith, incorporating an understanding of Anglican distinctives and a commitment to uphold them.
Initially the role will be remunerated with a part-time stipend of 3 days per week, however we’re still keen to talk further if you’re seeking a full-time stipendiary position as we commence budgeting activity for 2025.
We have a number of financial, bi-vocational and other partnership support arrangements here in the diocese which can be explored.
To apply, contact Andrew Thornhill at rector@dubboanglicanchurch.org or on 0418 944 506.
