At Norwest Anglican, we long to see Jesus King of every heart and every home.
Norwest Anglican is a vibrant and growing evangelical church in Sydney’s north-west. In God’s kindness, over the last decade we have seen remarkable growth.
More than 800 adults, youth and children attend our Sunday ministries each week, across five services (at 8:30am, 10.30am, 1pm Mandarin Church, 4:30pm and 6.30pm Chapel Lane), one of which is livestreamed. Alongside Sundays, we run many mid-week activities.
Strategic challenges and projects that we are currently undertaking include further establishing a ‘teams model’ of serving at Norwest, a significant building project (refurbishing our main auditorium) and investigating our first off-site congregation plant in the next 12 months.
Norwest is seeking a suitably gifted Christian to join our team as our new Youth and Schools Pastor. This is a full-time role to be filled by a male applicant.

Youth Pastor
Working collaboratively with the Schools, Kids and Youth team, the Youth Pastor will have responsibility for the vision, leadership and execution of Youth Ministry. Schools Pastor
Working collaboratively with the Schools, Kids and Youth team, the Schools Pastor will have responsibility for the vision, leadership and execution of Schools Ministry. This includes mentoring and equipping Christian students at Crestwood High School, leadership of SUPA clubs in local primary schools and oversight of primary SRE.
Our new Youth and Schools Pastor will:
- Become a member of Norwest Anglican Church, committed to both a Congregation and a Norwest Community Group.
- Have a deep love for God, a whole-hearted desire to live for and serve the Lord Jesus Christ and a growing relationship with Him.
- Love teenagers and have a passion to see them reached with the gospel and grow as His disciples.
- Have a highly collegiate working style alongside excellent interpersonal skills, reflected in their interactions with staff and lay leaders.
- Be eager to work in a portfolio ministry structure.
- Have a clear passion and gift for imparting the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Work comfortably under the direction of the senior leadership, as well as work autonomously and make decisions within the scope of the role.
- Understand child protection issues and be fully committed to the safety of all young people in our care.
- Be passionate about introducing both individuals and families to Jesus and seeing them grow in their knowledge and love of Him.
- Understand that a life in church leadership is a call to live a life beyond reproach and one where we model godliness through every aspect of what we say, how we act and who we are.
- Be committed to the Norwest Anglican Vision and Values.
