Role Purpose 

We are seeking an experienced and Bible centred Women’s Minister to lead a team of women, help coordinate ministries in making and growing disciples of Christ, and join the staff team in guiding and shaping the church with the message of the cross of Christ. 

Main responsibilities

  • assist in strengthening and developing a biblical women’s ministry strategy
  • lead women’s ministry team
  • help raise up and equip a group of ‘Titus 2’ women who encourage one another in love and discipleship
  • meet with women to recruit and train discipleship leaders
  • work with Gospel Team (Bible Study) leaders to grow women in maturity and knowledge
  • help spur women on to evangelise and share their faith

Criteria

Essential

  • mature and committed Christian, with demonstrated faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour
  • clear grasp of theologically driven ministry, and the centrality of God’s word
  • passionate and prayerful desire to see lives transformed by the gospel
  • commitment to believe and proclaim the Bible’s teaching on men and women, particularly complementarianism  
  • significant experience in pastoral ministry with women
  • proven leadership skills and ability to take initiative, clear communication in written and verbal form, organised and reliable
  • willingness to commit to the mission and direction of Northmead Anglican

Desirable

  • 3-4 years theological qualification
  • ability to form clear plans and think strategically 

Conditions 

  • this position may be full time or part time depending on the successful candidate
  • ideally to start beginning of 2021
  • stipend in accordance with the diocesan remunerations guidelines, based on experience and qualifications of applicant
