Role Purpose
All Saints’ Woollahra is seeking a Children’s Ministry Coordinator, to teach and reach children with innovation, love and humility.
About Us
All Saints’ Woollahra is a growing reformed and evangelical, Anglican church in Sydney’s east. We are a church for people who live, work, or play in Woollahra, or who love its people. We regularly have 90 adults and children who meet on a Sunday and our prayer is to see lives transformed through Jesus to the glory of God.
The Opportunity
We’re looking for someone with a heart for children and ministry to join our team in a part-time role (2 days a week, with potential for more for someone with admin skills or interest) as we seek to grow and expand our children’s ministry.
We have a growing number of young families at church and are seeking to invest in the children, their leaders and their parents. There are many families in our area who are not yet at church and we want to build bridges into the community.
This role is ideal for the person who has a conviction and passion for children and family ministry, with a heart for the unreached in Sydney’s east.
A stipend will be in accordance with the diocesan remuneration guidelines, including allowances, based on experience and qualifications. This role will report to the Senior Minister.
Responsibilities Include
-
Lead and drive the children’s ministry at All Saints.
-
Recruit, disciple, equip and support children’s ministry leaders.
-
Innovatively oversee new initiatives to connect with and reach families in the community.
-
Helping to plan and lead the wider ministries of our church, integrating children and parents where possible.
-
Help lead Scripture classes at the local public school.
-
Ensuring safe ministry practices are communicated, implemented and complied with in all areas of church life at All Saints.
Conviction, Qualifications and Experience
- A person of Christian character with demonstrated commitment to Evangelical and Reformed Christian beliefs and values.
- A servant-hearted leader who is teachable, collaborative, and committed to the mission and direction of the church, able to work joyfully both under and alongside others.
- Experience teaching children across a range of ages, with around three years of ministry involvement (paid or voluntary).
- Able to recruit, encourage, and equip teams of volunteers for ministry, and to help others grow in doing this too.
- Excellent organisational skills and tech savvy
