Thomas Hassall Anglican College is a P-12 independent College located with close access to the M5 and M7 in the South West of Sydney. The College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mathematics Teacher to start at the beginning of Term 1. The successful applicant will be appropriately qualified and ready to work within a professional and cohesive team.

This is a temporary, maternity leave position for 2022 with the possibility of extending into Term 1 2023.

Key Selection Criteria

The successful applicant for the above position must be able to provide evidence to support the following criteria:

  • Strong personal Christian faith and be a regular and practising member of a Bible based Christian Church
  • Appropriate teaching qualifications in & accreditation with NESA
  • Evidence of innovative classroom practices
  • A high standard of competency and expertise as a classroom teacher
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of the integration of technology in the delivery of learning
  • Demonstrate an understanding of how students learn through effective classroom teaching strategies and the capacity to work with colleagues to continually improve teaching and learning
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, critical analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise and work as part of a team


  • Secondary Teaching qualifications in Mathematics.

  • Completion of Employment Application form available on the College website.  This should include the names, addresses and phone numbers of three confidential referees. One of these needs to be from a Christian Minister.
  • Resume outlining teaching, leadership and other experience relevant to the position
  • A statement of educational philosophy
  • Written response addressing the Key Selection Criteria in a maximum of 2-3 pages
  • Valid NSW Working with Children details (WWCC)
