Christ Church Inner West is (CCIW) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and gifted woman to join the team and serve in our vibrant morning and evening congregations at St John’s Ashfield for 3 days a week.
At CCIW our vision is Jesus, our mission is people and our cause is grace. CCIW currently meets as five congregations across two sites that seeks to reach and serve our community with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Under God, CCIW has been blessed with significant growth in the last decade. Going forward, we are gearing up for further growthwith a congregation plant in Haberfield in 2019, a heightened focus on Outreach Ministries and further investment in inclusion programs and leadership development.
This role is vital in enabling this exciting vision and is part of our commitment to ensuring that both women and men exercise ministry and leadership gifts in the life of each CCIW congregation.
The role of the Pastoral Minister includes:
- Organisational oversight and pastoral leadership of the St John’s Ashfield 10am and 6pm congregations
- Development of leaders and ministry teams to lead and grow the ministry.
- Providing pastoral wisdom and oversight primarily to women across St John’s Ashfield.
To be considered for the role you will have a positive and proactive approach, with strong pastoral wisdom and experience in pastoring and discipling others. You are theologically driven and energised, though not necessarily with a theological degree. You have proven leadership gifts with experience leading teams and driving ministry systems forward. You are a humble leader, pastorally warm, faithful to the gospel and resilient. You may be ordained as a deacon, or a lay minister in a parish or campus context.
