Wenty Anglican Church is a vibrant and growing church in the business area of Wentworthville. We exist to bring glory to God by:-

We are seek particularly to share the hope of Jesus to the many South Asian families that are arriving to our suburb.

We are looking for a woman to join us in 2025. We believe this is an exciting gospel opportunity for the right woman to help us make disciples of Christ.

Load- 3 days per week (with more days available as more funding is available)

The shape of the ministry includes

  • Recruiting, training, and overseeing children’s ministry leaders
  • Shaping the Playtime Ministry (for parents and kids 0-5), Wednesday mornings.
  • Initiating and overseeing ‘Homework Club’ (for grades K-6) Wednesday afternoons.
  • Leading Holiday kids clubs during school holidays (1-2 times per year).
  • Kids activities around Easter and Christmas time.
  • Connecting with the parents of our community-facing ministries.

As time permits the role may include:

  • Partnering with parents in seeing parents mature and disciple their children.
  • Facilitating clear transitions from children’s church into the youth ministry.
  • Equipping households to disciple their children

The role will be prioritised based on days a week the role is funded for. For the right applicant, a position would be considered that does not require your presence on Sundays.

Specific and detailed responsibilities and measurable outcomes will be worked out with the preferred candidate. The role could expand to women’s ministry as more funding becomes available.

We are looking for someone who:

  • operates within a framework of grace
  • is a mature and godly follower of Jesus
  • has theological training and is reformed and evangelical in conviction
  • works well within a team
  • is able to teach and communicate effectively to children
  • is able to delegate responsibilities well
  • is able to manage their time and responsibilities well
  • has a passion for evangelism, particularly to children
  • has an ability to lead and train leaders and manage teams
  • is able to identify and encourage gifts in people and move them into leadership roles and ministries
  • is able to relate to people of all ages, across cultures, especially to South Asians

A Working with Children Check and completed Safe Ministry Training will be required before commencement and must be maintained as current at all times.
