Youthworks is seeking a Venue and Ministry Programs Manager to join our Venues & Ministry Programs team. Youthworks is a Christian organisation dedicated to providing exceptional facilities, services, and Christian outdoor activities and fellowship for a wide range of clients, including (but not limited to) Christian schools, a wide variety of church groups, and independent organisations.
Our Conference Centres offers accommodation, food and beverage services, combined with a wide variety of Christian outdoor activities designed to foster Christian discovery, church community, and a deeper relationship with Christ in a serene, safe and supportive environment.
About the role
The Shoalhaven Venue and Ministry Programs Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations of the site, ensuring that all site services, including guest relations, housekeeping, kitchen management, and Christian outdoor education activities, are delivered to the highest standards.
This role requires a dynamic leader with a strong commitment to Youthworks’ Christian values and a passion for creating memorable experiences for our guests.
Your responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all operations teams within this site, including guest relations, housekeeping, kitchen management, and Christian outdoor ministry activities
- Lead, mentor, and support a diverse team, including guest services staff, housekeeping personnel, kitchen staff, and Christian outdoor activity ministry guides
- Foster a positive, collaborative, and service-oriented culture in line with the Youthworks’ Christian values
- Overnight/multisite stays away for work may be required from time to time to fulfil the requirements of the role
You will need to demonstrate
- Qualification in Hospitality Management, and/or Outdoor Education or a relevant experience in management or a related field
- Certifications in Outdoor Education, and qualifications such as First Aid, or Cert 3 in outdoor activity would be advantageous
- 5 years’ minimum experience in hospitality management and gospel-driven outdoor education programs
- Professional approach and confident manner
- Ability to work under pressure
- Organisational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Positive approach to change
- A personal Christian faith and a willingness to work for an Anglican organisation
Current drivers licence and own transport are essential as there is no public transport anywhere near the Shoalhaven Conference Centres.
Desirable
A background in ministry or significant involvement in Christian communities is desirable
