The position:
Our new administrator will join a friendly existing team and play an integral part in ensuring Norwest’s ministry activities run smoothly across the life of the church. This is a five day per week position.
Duties include:
- Preparing resources, plans and presentations for our five Sunday services and a range of other ministries each week.
- Assisting in planning church events including planning, communications and registrations
- Maintaining our database and assisting in preparation of rosters and volunteer coordination.
- Creating regular church communications for internal and external audiences via a range of channels including website, social media, email and newsletters.
- Managing supplies, resources and equipment and our church calendar.
- Assisting with compliance & safe ministry requirements.
The ideal candidate will be:
- Excited to contribute to a caring Christian team, passionate about bringing their particular gifts to help others and to share the gospel through their work.
- An experienced administrator (minimum 2 years), with strong computer skills
- Detail oriented, someone who loves making plans to ensure things run smoothly and on time.
- Able to juggle competing priorities
- An excellent communicator and able to create high quality written communications
- Keen to take ownership over processes and make improvements where needed
A current Working with Children Check will be required prior to commencement.
