St Paul’s Castle Hill is currently seeking a full-time (6 days per week) generalist Assistant Minister to oversee the Pastoral Care and Integration portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Minister, you will oversee, co-ordinate and develop pastoral care and integration ministries, ensuring new and existing members are cared for with compassion and gospel-shaped love.

KEY REPSONSIBILITIES
- TEAM LEADER - You will be a Team Leader for our pastoral and integration staff team members. You will be responsible for managing your direct reports, including facilitation of regular team meetings, annual reviews, budgeting for your department, and management of calendar events for pastoral care and integration ministries. As a Team Leader you will attend our regular Team Leader meetings, currently once per month.
- PASTORAL CARE MINISTRY – Working alongside our Pastoral Care Co-ordinator, you will oversee and develop pastoral care at St Paul’s, including training and equipping staff and lay pastoral carers.
- INTEGRATION MINISTRY – Working alongside our Integration co-ordinator, you will ensure newcomers and regulars are well integrated into church life.
- SUNDAY SERVICES – your primary focus on Sundays will be management of our Heart Teams (lay pastoral care team), and working alongside our Integration Co-ordinator to support our Connect (welcoming) teams. Sundays may also include service leading and preaching opportunities.
- WEDDINGS – oversee all wedding enquiries, including preparing couples for their wedding, and following up married couples.
- MEN’S MINISTRY – oversight of the Men’s ministry of St Paul’s, including managing events and regular gathering opportunities. Caring for, recruiting and training the Men’s volunteer team.

From time to time you will also be required to undertake other tasks consistent with your skills, qualifications and experience, and could include occasional services such as baptisms, weddings and funerals.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- Ordained as a Deacon or Presbyter in the Anglican Diocese of Sydney
- Hold a current WWCC (employed).
- Complete the Diocesan Safe Ministry Course (online, refreshed every 3 years).
- Hold a Diocesan license to perform required duties.
