The Parish Administrator will work under the direction of the Senior Minister in undertaking administrative tasks to support an active parish ministry. The successful applicant will be a committed Christian, gracious in character with a teachable heart, a love for people and a team player.
The key role of the Administrator is to provide support to the Ministry team by undertaking administrative tasks essential to the effective running of a busy parish. This role is responsible for maintaining the systems for the efficient management and communication across the Parish and updating and maintenance of the parish’s church management system. The role is also responsible for providing an efficient and friendly service to people within and outside the parish who interact with the St Alban’s community.
The successful applicant will have careful attention to detail, be able to work independently, have good written and verbal communication skills, maintain confidentialities, be flexible and capable of working to a deadline.
They should also be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel and church management software Elvanto. Proficiency in MYOB and graphics design software (e.g. Canva or Adobe) is desirable but not essential, along with experience maintaining a website and digital media.
This is a 12 month contract, part time position of 23 hours per week, in 3 days a week. Remuneration will be in line with Dioscesan guidelines, experience and skills.
