We're looking for a full-time Site Operations and Maintenance Officer.
Reporting to the Senior Minister and Wardens, this role is responsible for ensuring that the church's facilities are well-maintained, safe, and functional. This role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, managing repairs, and coordinating with external contractors as needed, as well as overseeing site related staff training and assisting with the daily operations of ministries and management of the site.
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
WHS
- fire safety, first aid and CPR compliance
- emergency planning
- risk assessment and incident reports
FACILITIES MANAGEMENT
- general repairs and maintenance including plumbing/electrical/carpentry/groundskeeping
- ensuring that all facilities are clean, safe, and in good working order.
- management of security systems including key register
FINANCE AND PURCHASING
- grant applications and aquittals
- managing insurance issues and claims processing
- equipment purchasing and supplier reviews
- assisting the Finance Administrator with banking, reimbursements, payments
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- Current WWCC (employed).
- Complete the Diocesan Safe Ministry Course (online, refreshed every 3 years).
- Proven experience in property maintenance or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of building systems, including plumbing, electrical, and HVAC.
- Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license.
Desirable:
- Relevant trade qualifications or certifications.
- Experience working in a church or community organisation.
