Archbishop’s statement on Dr Mark Thompson’s retirement announcement 

Mark Thompson has led Moore College with wholehearted and prayerful dedication to its mission to equip men and women to take the gospel to Australia and the world.

Today I want to record the deep thankfulness of the Governing Board for Mark's outstanding leadership over the last 14 years -  including three Archbishops, Covid-19 and innumerable challenges in the theological education sector.

As Principal, Mark has been consistently and passionately concerned not only for the health and growth of the students and faculty, but also for the welfare of the churches and the progress of the mission of Jesus. Please pray for Mark and Kathryn and their family in this time of transition, and for the Governing Board as we seek the Lord's help in identifying the next Principal.
