In its 170th year of service, Anglicare Sydney has announced a landmark move to create a national Christian aged care provider. Through its acquisition of aged care provider Infinite Care, Anglicare will establish a national platform of homes in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, and South Australia.

For Anglicare Sydney CEO Simon Miller, the move isn't just about the numbers – though the numbers are significant. It will encompass 4600 beds across 42 homes supported by a team of 7000 staff. Mr Miller says the focus remains firmly on the individual.

“With an ageing population, older Australians need strong aged care providers that are sustainable for the future,” he says. “Residential aged care is all about home – belonging, security, care, and connection.”

The acquisition comes at a time of critical need in the sector, where many providers are struggling to meet the demand for new beds. By joining forces with Infinite Care – a provider Mr Miller describes as having an “impressive, resident-focused model” – Anglicare is positioning itself to bring much-needed stability and growth to the market.

“We look forward to combining best practice, investing in palliative care, and expanding pastoral and spiritual care to residents,” he says. “Together, we will be able to deliver care that values and respects the dignity, choices and needs of those we serve.”

Despite the scale of the national expansion, the message to current residents and families is one of continuity and peace of mind. Infinite Care will continue to operate under its existing brand for the foreseeable future, and residents will continue to be cared for by the same “trusted teams” they already know.

For Infinite Care CEO Luke Greive, the partnership is a natural fit.
