About St Faith’s Narrabeen:
The heart and vision of our community at St Faith’s Narrabeen is to see a Northern Beaches that knows Jesus by making disciples who grow to maturity in Christ for God’s glory. We operate a team pastoring model at St Faith’s with our staff team serving across four congregations on a Sunday along with other mid-week ministries.
The Position:
We are seeking to employ a godly and gifted Associate Pastor who is passionate about making disciples, helping them grow to maturity in Christ, and eager to serve alongside a team of both paid and volunteer staff and leaders.
Main Responsibilities:
- This is a senior leadership position on our team that requires the candidate to:
- Lead a key ministry area of church life (e.g. Maturity, Ministry, Membership, Magnification, or Mission) as well as oversee a particular focus area.
- Oversee the ministry recruitment and leadership development pipeline in the ministry area/congregation.
- Champion the outcome of your ministry area across the wider church.
- Oversee processes and systems that facilitate the effective operation of the ministry area/congregation.
- Involvement in ministry training with our student ministers and ministry apprentices.
- Preaching and teaching the Bible.
- Other responsibilities as required in working in a team setting.
The ministry and focus areas will depend on the gifts and passions of the successful candidate along with the needs of the church at the time of employment.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is a mature and godly follower of Jesus.
- Has a theological qualification from a reformed evangelical theological college.
- Has experience leading volunteer teams and identifying, developing, and equipping leaders.
- Can demonstrate a relational warmth and an ability to work with people of all ages and stages of life.
- Is teachable and is able to teach others.
- Can manage their time and responsibilities well.
- Is keen to get on mission with our church to see a Northern Beaches that knows Jesus.
Remuneration is provided in accordance with the Anglican Church of Sydney’s guidelines for stipend and allowances. This can be discussed with the Senior Pastor at the time of application. Position start date is fully negotiable for the right candidate.
