New head of Sydney Anglican Services

Anglican Church Diocese of Sydney
Finance industry leader to head Sydney Anglican Services
Andrew Macey, an experienced banking executive, has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of Sydney Anglican Services (SAS), the key support organization for the Sydney Diocese.
Mr. Macey held senior roles for Westpac for more than twenty years, including in specialist finance, human resources and since 2024 as CEO of the Westpac subsidiary RAMS Financial Group.
“The Board of SAS is thrilled to announce the appointment of Andrew Macey to serve as our new CEO,” said John Pascoe, Chairman of Sydney Anglican Services. “Andrew’s experience in governance and in senior banking roles will be invaluable as SAS seeks to serve our parishes and organizations in an increasingly complex regulatory environment.”
The new chief executive has a long association with Christian and Anglican organizations. Having become a Christian as a teenager, he has been consistently involved in wide areas of service, including leadership in music ministry, youth and adult bible study groups and student ministry overseas.
Together with his wife Belinda and four daughters, Mr Macey has been a member of St Luke's Anglican Church, Liverpool since 2002. He also holds a Diploma in Biblical Studies from Moore Theological College.
Mr. Pascoe added, “Andrew’s long-term ministry in south-west Sydney will also be key to identifying the needs of parishes in difficult and under-resourced places.”
Archbishop Kanishka Raffel said he was delighted by the appointment. "His wealth of experience from the corporate world is matched by two and a half decades of gospel-minded Christian service in his local church alongside his wife Belinda as members of St Luke's, Liverpool."
“I’m honoured to contribute to Sydney Anglican Services’ mission and look forward to serving the Diocese by helping to enable ministry across the parishes and diocesan organisations we support.” Mr Macey said.
Mr Macey will begin his role in February, 2026.
