The NSW response to the Bondi Massacre 

I welcome the measures announced by the Premier to introduce temporary restrictions on protest activity following terrorist incidents.
 
There is great potential for such demonstrations to fan the flames of hate and division, as we witnessed in the aftermath of the October 7 attacks.
 
Whatever the intentions of the protestors, it has proved to be all too easy for these events to be exploited by extreme elements.
 
I consider this a sensible short-term measure to promote peace and safety during times of heightened tension.
 
As Anglicans, we will continue to pray for wisdom for our government and members of Parliament as they seek to ensure the welfare of all Australians.
