“Few things are more crucial at this time than the raising up of more full-time Christian workers,” Archbishop Peter Jensen told parish clergy recently.

The Archbishop has encouraged rectors to attend a Club 5 conference in September or October with those in their parish interested in considering full-time Christian ministry.

Club 5, now in its 17th year is run in 10 locations across Australia. It is an annual training and recruitment segment in the Ministry Training Strategy (MTS).

“Club 5 conferences challenge men and women to train for a lifetime of gospel service. Many Anglicans in our Diocese have been greatly encouraged by their involvement in these events,” Dr Jensen said.

The Club 5 conference for the Wollongong region will be held from September 17-19 at the Tops Conference Centre, Stanwell Tops. Dean of Sydney, Phillip Jensen and Morling College lecturer, Shaun Potts will be speaking. Information about Club 5: www.mts.com.au or call 9663 1854.
