Advertorial

Anglican Retirement villages will seek to work together in a manner that reflects God's love, best demonstrated in the example of Jesus, in order to meet the physical, social, spiritual and emotional needs of our residents and community clients. This is our Christian witness.

"Creating Communities of Christian Care." It's an expression you hear a lot around Anglican Retirement Villages. But to us, it's more than an expression. The words are our Vision statement " describing our goal in caring for older people and the passion of our staff in achieving it.

If our Vision is our "destination", our Mission Statement expresses our "journey" to that destination:

"Motivated by God's love through Christ, we will provide care and services that promote the well being and enrich the lives of older people."

ARV exists only to care for the elderly. How do we do this? We create communities where care and concern is matched by professional service, security and convenience… all underpinned by the message of God's love to all in Christ.

With our Vision and Mission pointing the way, our Values describe "how we endeavour to travel"... a model for behaviour in the care and service we provide:

We will seek to work together in a manner that reflects God's love, best demonstrated in the example of Jesus Christ, in order to meet the physical, social, emotional and spiritual needs of our residents and community clients.

This is our Christian witness.

Two ideas from these Values direct our ministry:

"¢ Christ shapes our behaviour with our residents, community clients, families and each other.

"¢ Being made in the image of God " we care for the whole person.

In the coming months this "Life Matters" series will introduce you to the people ARV cares for, physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

You will see ARV's compassionate care and services to people in independent living villages, hostels, nursing homes and the wider community.

"Creating Communities of Christian Care" sums up a ministry with a long and distinguished history of caring for older people while promoting and proclaiming the name of Christ.
