The final address by Dr Peter Jensen as Archbishop of Sydney will take place on Monday 8th October, as the Sydney Synod opens.
Dr Jensen will retire in July 2013 when he turns 70, so the 2012 Synod will be his last as Archbishop.
The Synod is convening at the Wesley Theatre in Sydney for five days of debate and decision making, covering topics from financial and budgetary measures to education, pastoral and mission-related matters.
Dr Jensen's Presidential Address will be delivered on the first afternoon of the Synod, which will then sit on Tuesday 9th and Wednesday 10th, followed by Monday and Tuesday 15th and 16th October.
The address will be available for video download from Tuesday morning.
Anglican Media will provide full coverage of the Synod with daily news, blogs, audio and video. Bookmark the Synod index page.
