After months of planning, anticipation from the Christian community and growing media buzz, the new Jesus All About Life TV advert was officially unveiled today.
In officially launching the TV advert at a lunch at the Ivy Room in George St, the Rev Daniel Willis, head of the Bible Society, said the campaign was "bound to come in for a caning' from the critics.
"Please pray fervently for strength for those who need to deal with media opportunities," he said.
However, Mr Willis said the involvement of all major Christian denominations "was unprecedented in our city".
"I believe the campaign will have an impact across our State for years to come," he said.
"The adverts were never designed to convert anyone" just engage people in discussion.”
The Rev Dominic Steele from Christians in the Media then spoke to this point outlining how he believes Christians can answer each of the questions raised by the advert.
This is outlined further in a video course produced by Christians in the Media along with a small resource Bible Study book called Jesus: Connections for Life
Archbishop on Sunrise
Earlier, God's hand appeared to be on the launch with the extraordinary dust storm that hit Sydney driving people to breakfast TV to find out what was going on.
What they tuned into soon after 8am, was the Archbishop of Sydney, Peter Jensen talking about the Jesus All About Life TV advert.
The advert will be broadcast for the first time in an advertising slot this Sunday evening, September 27.
