The Youthworks website Fervr has been nominated for one of the Internet's highest honours.

The site is one of a handful of nominees in the Religion & Spirituality category in the 16th Annual Webby Awards. It is the only Australian site nominated for that section and competes with major overseas conglomerates.

Fervr.net publishes daily articles, reviews and videos for 13 to 18 year olds. Youthworks describes the site as providing "easily-accessible content that is Biblical and relevant for teen culture which stimulates young people to think critically and engage thoughtfully with their world".

"Nominees like Fervr.net are setting the standard for innovation and creativity on the Internet," said David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards. "It is an incredible achievement to be selected among the best from the nearly 10,000 entries we received this year."

“Fervr.net has never backed away from dealing with the issues that Christian teenagers face,” notes Marshall Ballantine-Jones, Executive Director of Youthworks Media, the creator of Fervr.net. “Our aim has been to create the kind of online site that a teenager could visit to think through what it means to follow the Christian faith in a complex and confusing world.”
