Profile

Kara has lived in Sydney all her life, growing up in the Hills district. She became a Christian in late high school. She is a graduate of the University of Western Sydney, Nepean and later studied at both Sydney Missionary and Bible College as well as Moore College.

Since 1996 Kara has worked in ministry among women at St Thomas' Nth Sydney and more recently at Crossway Anglican Churches.

She was appointed at Archdeacon for Women's Ministry by Archbishop Jensen in 2012.

Kara is keen for women across the diocese to be equipped for the ministry of the gospel and seeks to encourage and promote ministry by women and among women so more women throughout the city hear of Jesus.

Kara's other ministries include organising and speaking at various conventions, including Women's Katoomba Convention and Equip women's conference She is a Board member for India Gospel League Australia Training Association and member of training teams A Member of the Board of the Priscilla and Aquila Centre. A Member of the Doctrine Commission as well as being a Member of Synod, Standing Committee and General Synod
