Animated films have taken out the top two prizes in the Ignite Film Festival, Sydney's premier Christian film competition.
More than a thousand people packed Sydney's Town Hall to see the finalists in eight categories, including drama, science fiction, musical and documentary.
Entrants were challenged to take one of Jesus' parables and translate it to the big screen.
A panel of industry professionals awarded the grand jury prize to animator Tim Andrews.
His South Park styled "The Great Feast' uses an Australian barbeque to retell Jesus' famous story of people rejecting invitations to enter the Kingdom of God.
Tim Andrews' efforts earned him the inaugural $2,000 Anne Bladon Gospel Award.
The People's Choice Award has also gone to two budding Christian animators.
Hundreds of audience members attended advance screenings during the weekend to vote on their favourite flick " the prize, a BenQ data projector donated by Christian Multimedia.
"The Lost Ballwin' by animators David and Jonathan Gunawan took the prize by less than 1% of the total vote.
Ignite competition director Marcus Cheong says tabulating the results was a nail-biting affair.
"We've seen some close polls in the news of late, but this has to be one of Sydney's closest," Mr Cheong said.
"To not win a category, but to be chosen by everybody was just awesome!" said Mr Gunawan.
