Every year Australians send millions of cards to each other. Unsurprisingly, most of us don't give a second thought to the maker of the card. Not so the men and women of All Saints', North Epping.
Over the past three months they have raised over $1000 through card purchases and donations to support a project in Kibera, Kenya.
Kibera is a shantytown in Kenya's capital, Nairobi. Impoverished and overcrowded, it is one of many similar towns crammed into the nation's capital.
The Kipawa card-making project was established CMS missionary Dr Max Collison and the Archbishop of Sydney's Overseas Relief and Aid Fund (ORAF).
The project, aimed mainly at women, provides equipment, training and a means of marketing the cards " Anglican churches in Sydney.
