Here we are…just over half way through the season, and hasn't it gone quickly? It seems like just yesterday that we were awaiting the really big snow dump to start the season" oh wait" it was yesterday…
The weather bureau has been predicting snow for the last couple of weeks, but aside from ten minutes last Wednesday, there has been nothing! I'm sorry to report that the outlook does not look good either. There are reports of rain coming our way on Thursday and Friday.
All is not bad though. There have been some great days to ski or board on the snow that is here, and the snow-making machines have been working overtime to keep the cover up. The sun has been shining, breezes have been nice - our Lord has been sending blessings our way.
The chapel has also had another great week with several visitors coming into both the 12:30 and 5:00 pm services. Our midweek gatherings are also going well. Your prayers, that we may be reaching the people God wants us to would be greatly appreciated. It is often hard in a transient community like the snowfields to know where the people are and what their needs are. Your prayers that the word gets out about the happenings of the chapel ministries would also be a huge blessing.
The Dragons Lair (the Thredbo gathering) is also picking up as more and more people hear of the opportunity to gather and get into God's Word on the hill.
Given that we are just over half way, physical, emotional, and spiritual tiredness are really starting to kick in. All of us ministering in the snow whould really value your prayers for stamina and wisdom and we push on through this time. After all, there really is no break when the snow is only here for a limited time.
Thanks for reading.
Peace.
