Hey there Snow Friends,

Rain, rain go away
Come again another day. (And preferably a day AFTER the October long weekend.)

This is the pray of all those working in the snowfields this season.  Unfortunately it has not been answered.  With rising temperatures, and with moisture in the clouds, rain was what we were presented with on the weekend.  Many people, including visitors from Canberra and Queensland braved the downpour to join us for Chapel on Sunday.  Their presence was as warm as was the hot chocolate, but outside the rain fell washing away the precious snow.

The good news is that there are snow falls predicted for this coming week, so prayers that the temperature would drop and the snow would fall would be greatly appreciated. And before Thursday would be even better!

Thursday is a busy day up at Perisher.  We will see the annual running of the "Pub to Pub" " a cross country race between six of the pubs on Smiggins and Perisher.  The race is heaps of fun as everyone dons a costume and compete in teams in the challenge to down a beer at each pub before moving on to the next.  Prizes are awarded, and enjoyment is had by all.  The lack of snow however, means it will probably be a running race unless the good Lord sends snow our way.

The lack of snow is also seeing several workers being laid off early, so please pray for those going home that the Lord would guide and direct them in their future.

Hope to see you all after the forecast dump!

Blessings,

LJ
