A life of service has been recognised with an Order of Australia medal at the age of 84 for Robyn Claydon, named on the Australia Day honours list.

A former missionary has been chosen to head the Archbishop of Sydney’s Anglican Aid following the retirement of founding CEO The Rev David Mansfield.

Archbishop Glenn Davies has issued a public statement on Israel Folau and the issue of Freedom of Speech, Conscience and Belief.

"Give us the courage to accept the realities of our history so that we may build a better future for our nation" the congregation prayed as the service began at St Andrew's Cathedral, Sydney on National Sorry Day. But the event marked two important dates.

We acknowledge the pain and shame of our history and the suffering of our people.

"I came to understand that sin is ignoring God and continuing to live life my own way despite knowing him. Since I came to know God, I have become aware of countless examples of his grace."
