About the role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated individual with a background in administration, who takes initiative and is adaptable and attentive to detail, to join our Property team in the role of permanent full-time Property Administration Assistant.

The Property team is responsible for overseeing the management of all Moore College properties, ensuring a safe and positive environment for the College community and compliance with legal and policy requirements. The main teaching and resident campus is in Newtown, with resident housing also at Croydon Park and Parramatta.

Reporting to the Property Officer and working alongside our friendly and experienced trades/maintenance team, the Property Administration Assistant will assist in a range of property-related administrative tasks including responding to enquiries, updating preventative maintenance, arranging inspections, reconciling credit card expenditures and invoices.

About you

The successful candidate will meet the following essential selection criteria:

  • Strong experience in administration, including:
  1. excellent attention to detail
  2. the ability to plan and prioritise tasks
  3. the ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information
  4. the ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to take initiative, adapt when circumstances change, and identify and implement process improvements
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications (e.g. Outlook, Word and Excel) and quick to learn the use of other computer applications/systems (e.g. records management, financial, online request management/issue tracking/service management)
  • Ability to support and promote the Christian Vision, Mission and Values of Moore Theological College

It is desirable that you also have:

  • Experience in property administration, real estate and/or the building/construction industry
  • Tertiary qualification in business administration or a property-related discipline
  • Current NSW driver licence (Class C)
