We are currently seeking a Part-Time Ministry Assistant (2-3 days per week) to provide support for the Minister at St James’ Chapel and Barton Hall for congregational services and Pastoral care of the congregations.

This role will involve:

• Leading and preaching at St James' Chapel and Barton Hall services and special events
• Assisting with other activities such as Lenten study series, Lessons and Carols, Alpha Course, Small Groups and other special services
• Recruiting and training of volunteers
• Assist with providing pastoral support and care for members of the congregation, in partnership with Anglicare Chaplains and Pastoral Carers.

Essential Qualifications:

• Hold a current WWCC (employed).
• Theological qualifications suited to the tasks of preaching and pastoral care.

Competencies & Experience:

• If possible, previous experience in Aged Care or with mature aged people.
• Excellent listening skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Capacity to manage a high level of emotional drain.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
