Christ Church Inner West is (CCIW) is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and gifted woman to join the team and serve in our vibrant morning congregation at St John’s Ashfield.
CCIW is located in the Inner West of Sydney. Our parish includes the suburbs of Ashfield, Five Dock, and Haberfield. We currently have five congregations meeting across three sites, with plans to plant new congregations in the coming years, with each one being a joyful community of grace, where people thrive in Christ, not just survive in the Inner West.
This role is vital in enabling this vision and is part of our commitment to ensuring that both women and men exercise ministry and leadership gifts in the life of each CCIW congregation.
The role of the Pastoral Minister includes:
- Organisational oversight and pastoral leadership of the St John’s Ashfield 10am congregation
- Preaching
- Development of leaders and ministry teams to lead and grow the ministry.
- Providing pastoral wisdom and care across the St John’s congregation.
To be considered for the role you will have a positive and proactive approach, with strong pastoral wisdom and experience in pastoring and discipling others. You are theologically driven and energised, though not necessarily with a theological degree.
You have proven leadership gifts with experience leading teams and driving ministries systems forward. You are a humble leader, pastorally warm, faithful to the gospel and resilient. You may be ordained as a deacon, or a lay minister in a parish or campus context.
