Claiming that Sydney-based evangelical publishing house, Matthias Media is now a multilingual publisher may be a bit of a stretch.

But they have taken a tentative first step to making ministry resources available in other languages.

As Operations Manager, Ian Carmichael, says “It reminds me of that old line: ‘I’m working on being bilingual—actually, I’m almost halfway there.’

This week Matthias Media published its first non-English language resource.

Kim Hawtrey’s popular gospel tract, ‘Christianity: a pocket guide’ has been faithfully translated into Arabic, and printed in a similar format to the English version.

“In the near future we also hope to publish Japanese and Chinese editions of
‘2 ways to live: the choice we all face’. And we pray that all of these will help take the Gospel message to multicultural Sydney and beyond.”

Copies of the Arabic version can be purchased through Matthias Media’s online store or by phoning (02) 9663 1478.
