If you are looking to make a tax-deductible donation as the 2019-2020 financial year draws to a close, here are several organisations that could use your support.

Anglican Aid - Let Grace Flow

Help communities around the world through the work of Anglican Aid’s building and development projects. Through their partnerships with rural villages, they let grace flow to families as they provide access to health services, water and sanitation, education, income generation, humanitarian and emergency assistance, leadership and more.

Youthworks College - Help young people follow Jesus

Coronavirus has left Youthworks facing a $550,000 funding gap, which will impact the development of children’s resources, Special Religious Education resources and lessons, online education for students of Youthworks College and more. A donation to their appeal allows these valuable ministries to continue and helps them overcome this financial challenge.

Generate Scripture Teaching - Hold out Hope Appeal

Generate funds hundreds of Special Religious Education teachers and chaplains in NSW Public Schools. General donations allow the important work of holding out hope to young people and their families across the state to continue. You can give a general gift, or select a specific Scripture board or chaplaincy program to contribute to.

The Living Waters Church Redfern

The Living Waters Church works closely with the local Indigenous community in the inner city. More than half of the church members are Indigenous Australians. Their church is a place where anyone can find eternal hope and lasting change in Jesus. In order to keep serving the communities in Redfern and Waterloo with youth mentoring, prison visits, events and regular fellowship, they rely largely on the generosity of others who are passionate about this ministry.

Compassion Australia - We Rise As One

Compassion seeks to raise $2 million to provide thousands of children living in poverty with stability through hygiene, food and housing support. According to Sidney Muisyo, the Senior Vice President of the Global Program at Compassion International, a pandemic like COVID-19 has the potential to undo over a decade of developmental and humanitarian efforts in developing countries. He says: “As with most crises, I fear vulnerable children are yet again going to pay the highest price.”

CMS Lasting Hope Appeal

Support missionaries worldwide as they share the hope of Jesus and raise up new workers for cross-cultural service. The donation form provides the option to general missionary support or to direct your giving to tax-deductible projects.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of places to donate. There are many other organisations doing wonderful work for the Kingdom who also deserve your financial support, including our local churches. Tax time is not the only time we can partner financially with people. Anytime is a good time to be generous and give to the work of the Lord.
