The Youthworks Year 13 program, which offers a year's training for school leavers, has been given eight bursaries for its 2014 intake.

In a late offering, just before the year commences, Year 13 director Andrew Nixon announced there are eight places left in the continuous (week by week) program which a donor has agreed to subsidise by $1000.

"This is great news for students who are only now finalising their plans - it shows it is not to late to get on board for this year's program" Mr Nixon said.

YEAR 13 runs both a Continuous and Intensive mode. Both cover the same material and engage in all the same activities, the Continuous mode is designed for students who live within travelling distance of the Year 13 campus in Loftus while the intensive mode is for those who live outside the greater Sydney area.

As well as the scholarships just offered for the continuous program, a country scholarship has been announced by Calrossy School at Tamworth for 2 male school-leavers, of which only one is still available.

With the 9th intake of students for Year 13 just a week away, Mr Nixon says those wishing to participate should act quickly.
