Archbishop Peter Jensen says the relevance of the resurrection to Australians can be measured by the long list of cinemas screening faith-focussed films like "Luther' and "The Passion' this Easter.
"We may well live in a post-Christian society. But the death and resurrection of Christ still holds an extraordinary power over Australians,” Archbishop Jensen says.
Archbishop Jensen has used his Easter message to the Australian media to highlight the hunger for spiritual things that is seeing many come to Christ.
"Their stories are rarely told in the newspapers or seen on the TV news. Yet Christ's life-changing power is reshaping their families, even whole neighbourhoods," he says.
