The Bible reading/s in our weekly gatherings should be a high point of the service, but experience shows it can be hit and miss. The combined ability and preparation of the Bible reader can impact how listeners (the congregation) digest the passage, and prepare for the sermon.
How we train our Bible readers and congregations for the Bible reading is perhaps a discussion for another day. However, I was recently reminded that there's more than one way to read the Bible in church.
In Melbourne, City on a Hill has been using video to deliver Bible readings during their services.
