The Archbishop of Sydney's media spokeswoman released the following statement this morning:

"The Australian newspaper carries a story on pages 1 and 6 today (25/2/06) that states, among other things, that two donations were given to Moore Theological College and to the Anglican Church in Sydney by the late Kerry Packer and his family.

“These claims are completely untrue and without foundation."
